The Hunger Games
The hunger games is an awesome series. There’s three books in the series, and all three of them are wonderful. The first book was super gruesome. I read that book faster than all the other ones. I couldn’t put it down. The book was very well written, and had me on the edge of my seat through the whole entire thing. Katniss Everdeen was just a girl trying to keep her family alive, but gets put into a government game called The hunger games. The book just follows her and shows how she won, and that you don’t have to do just whatever the government tells you too. It basically shows that you have your own opinion, and you have your own life. In my opinion, that was my favorite book.
Catching Fire is the second book in this series. The title kind of explains the whole book. When Katniss and Peeta made the Capitol mad, and showed rebellion. They may not have done it intentionally, but the other districts definitely saw it as a sign of rebellion. It started a spark. Katniss caused the other districts to finally do something about the dictatorship of the Capitol. This books shows all of the events that led up to the start of the overthrowing of the capitol.
Mockingjay is the third and final book of the series. This book was completely about politics and not so much romance, like the other two. It shows how hard it is for Katniss to have the responsibility of being the face of rebellion. She has so many problems happen to her, and so many things go wrong. She’s scared, and happy, and sad all at the same time. She really just stumbled her way through the last book. In Mockingjay, the capitol is overthrown. They establish a new government towards the end. But that wasn’t easy. It took so much for them to breach through the capitol, and so many people died. Basically the book follows Katniss and her way to victory against the capitol.
